Bushgarden Farm

The Smith Family has been farming on Bush Road in Elgin, Ontario since the 1820s. The farm was certified organic in 2006. Their herd of Brown Swiss and Holstein cows enjoys rotational grazing throughout the summer months, and whey from cheese-making is fed to the growing heifers, who find it to be an irresistible treat. The cheese is made from fresh, warm, raw milk right on the farm by farmer and cheese maker Nigel Smith.
