The sweet potatoes ended up turning out really well this year, despite the fact that a few deer got a taste for the greens early on in the season! We were a little worried at first as there were fresh tracks in the beds every morning, and fresh nibbles on the baby greens each day just as they were trying to get established, but luckily the deer moved on, and the sweet potatoes were left alone to grow into all their sweet glory! We got great yields and great flavour, and we're feeling grateful! Organically grown right here in the city.
