Blue Shoes Honey is a small, family-run operation located in Curran, Ontario. Owner and primary beekeeper Brian Lacey had over a decade of experience working with bees in various capacities until he decided to make the leap into starting his own beekeeping business. He believes in the value of keeping a small operation that serves the needs of the immediate community, and treats the bees as partners rather than possessions. To aid the efforts of his partners, Brian donates 10% of all profits to pollinator research and conservation. Blue Shoes Honey is either cold-pressed (raw) or minimally-heated (liquid) in small batches in order to preserve the pollen, flavour, and enzyme content.
